The highly regulated world of Risk Management and Compliance requires robust procedures and processes.

Whilst it is important to have structure, it is also important to have the flexibility to respond dynamically to expanding business needs and to accommodate different working styles.

Working in collaboration with stakeholders and aligning with their schedules and approaches is key to success. Tailor-making the approach as much as possible to suit each person’s needs has proven to be an effective way to engage people.

Ensuring that people have fun with the work that they do is crucial. Some people still make the mistake of thinking that having fun at work means that people aren’t taking their work seriously. They miss the point that when people have fun, they relax and when they relax they are more themselves and they are more engaged.

When people are more engaged, they care more about how they show up at work and they care more about the work that they do. Engaged people take greater ownership and responsibility for their wellbeing and success and for the wellbeing and success of others. With this comes camaraderie and a workforce that goes the extra mile for each other. This is how to create fertile ground for top performers who continually drive excellence. It can’t be forced. It has to be authentic.

The creative media company I’m working with know this already. They create fun spaces and opportunities for employees to meet, socialise and play every day.

This daily context ensures daily success and expansion.

How do you make sure you and your teams have fun at work every day?...
